OBJECTIVES

The main objective of the present project is the identification of framework conditions regarding Logistics in partner countries & to combine existing best practices to develop a standard practices to be used for a methodology for training & certification. The results of training will give the Green Logistics Managers an overview of their role in the logistics industry, be able to identify Green issues to be tackled & be aware when/where to update the own knowledge base.

The objectives of the LOG-IN-GREEN Project are:

  • Development of relevant and high-quality skills and competences:
Youth has to be supported by Training & giving key competences which include basic, transversal & soft skills, entrepreneurial, foreign language & digital skills. This strengthens the employability of the Youth & as well as their social lives, educations & help to their professional development. Developing the competences & the learning outcomes approaches in carrying out education, training & youth activities or assessing their quality & relevance are also considered in this programme. Improving the level of key competences & skills of young people is very important, we included young people with fewer opportunities, we supported their participation in the life of Europe & also in the labour market,we strengthened their active citizenship, we created intercultural dialogue, social inclusion & solidarity in EU. Training the youth; they have mobility opportunities in Europe, they are active in youth work or they work in the labour market.
In LOG-IN-GREEN project, we give a special & innovative training in logistics subject & having trained in this area, they gain competences & have a qualification dossier with a certificate & by using these set of qualifications, they have the opportunity to use this knowledge in Europe having the mobility opportunities all around Europe. They have the advantage of having a different & important knowledge in transport sector & this gives a priority to them to find a good job for themselves in the transportation sector. Our project contains: basic, transversal & soft skills; Learning objectives, competences & credits which are determined & the level of the participant scaled after the training, wrt the result, having a competency dossier & by using this dossier, they find a job for themselves. It also contains entrepreneurial, foreign language & digital skills; The training & the competences the young people had with our project give confidence to them & motivate them; they are closer to use English language; they are being an active user of blended-learning training modules & this improves their skills in digital area.
  • Transparency & recognition of skills and qualifications:
In LOG-IN-GREEN project, it’s aimed to improve the green logistics skills of youth workers & trainers through training modules that are developed within the project. Having trained, the youth workers become green logistics trainers & help the employability of young people by transferring their knowledge to them. Since the logistics sector needs qualified young people, both the youth workers & the young people benefit from the outcomes of the project. Since logistics require good knowledge of geography & also, foreign language & human relations skills as well as digital competences, the young people are trained at all these areas. There are standart trainings that have been in use in the sector. The difference of the training modules offered in the project is the sustainability & the green point of view in logistic works.
We give youngsters a “GREEN LOGISTIC YOUTH TRAINER” certificate after training them by our training modules & as this certificate is valid in our partner countries, these new skills & qualifications involve transnational transparency & recognition in EU.
  • Promoting quality youth work.
LOG-IN-GREEN supports to give competences to youth workers & convey them to work in the labor market; supports youth workers in developing & sharing effective methods in reaching out to marginalised young people & in preventing racism & intolerance among youth; supports to include youngs having migrant backgrounds, newly arrived immigrants & refugees & employability of young people with fewer opportunities ( including NEETs, Not in Education, Employment or Training) giving particular emphasis to young people at risk of marginalisation; promote inter-cultural dialogue & strengthen knowledge & acceptance of diversity in society; open up youth work to cross-sectorial cooperation allowing greater synergies across all fields of actions concerning young people; easier transition of young people from youth to adulthood, in particular the integration into the labour market; developing their competences & setting quality standards; reinforce links between policy, research & practice; promote better knowledge about the situation of young people & youth policies, recognition & validation of youth work & informal non-formal learning at EU level.
LOG-IN-GREEN is a perfect guide for the youth to be in the labour market giving impact also to the cooperation between organisations in the youth field with the other stakeholders;  reduce the unemployability of youth & pull the youth to the working business life.
